CASHBACK SITES

"How to earn money while shopping online!"

This page basically explains one of the main ways that you can save a lot of money on any deal. Many of you may already be aware of these sites but for those of you who aren't aware the deal is this......before you purchase almost anything on the internet, always first click through a cashback website!.

It doesn't matter what you want to buy. Next time your car/home/life insurance is up for renewal, click through a cashback website and you can often earn up to £100 cashback. Perhaps you want to buy one of the amazing deals on HD televisions that are mentioned on my website then you can often earn a percentage commision. In addition to all this you don't even have to purchase anything. I have taken up free trials (e.g. Lovefilm) and they paid me £8 to take the trial. How often does this happen? The way it works is basically they get paid to advertise various merchants. If someone clicks through the cashback website first to purchase a product (e.g. from Comet) then that website will get a commission for referring the visitor. They in turn pay you part of that commission. There are several of these websites about but obviously some are better suited for different people's needs. The cashback sites include Greasypalm, Rpoints & Quidco to name a few. I feel these are the top sites as the others are either very similar or worse for the consumer. Firstly,

which is the site I would recommend:

Pros:
  • It's free registration and you instantly get £2.50.
  • NO ANNUAL CHARGE!
  • They seems to have the most varied merchants on their site.
  • Refer a friend and you can make £7.
  • Nifty piece of software called rebate catcher that allows you to not even have to log in to earn the cashback.
  • OFFLINE HIGH STREET SHOPPING CASHBACK TOO! i.e. Just by using your debit or credit card in a store such as Superdrug, will automatically give you a percentage cashback to your account. Without even knowing it I had accrued nearly £20 in one month without even being aware of it.
  • Lots of other nice features to earn even more cashback. e.g. A cashback auction where you try and hold your nerve to wait as the cashback increases every sec. on certain products. The longer you wait the higher your cashback but wait too long and someone may buy before you!

Cons:

  • No major ones - some other sites may offer you more but for me that wasn't enough for me to try the other ones as there are many other benefits to Greasypalm (see above).

At present they are offering £70 cashback for Churchill car insurance and £60 for Lloyds TSB home insurance.

RPOINTS:

Visit Rpoints & sign up for an instant £5

  • Offer a 'Highest Cashback Promise'

Cons:

  • Can take a while for the cashback to be validated.

QUIDCO:

Pros:

  • The highest cashback I've found for several merchants.
  • Nice layout

Cons:

  • £5 ANNUAL CHARGE TAKEN OFF YOUR EARNINGS EVERY YEAR.
